Van-Go offers a range of collection services for domestic and commercial customers. Accepted waste depends on the service selected. Restricted or specialist waste requires additional information, please contact us to discuss your needs.
Choose Waste Collection when your waste is ready, bulky, or you need loading help.
Choose Skip Hire when you need time or have heavy waste like soil or rubble.
Choose a Wait-and-Load Skip for heavy waste ready now without needing a permit.
Most general household, garden and building waste can go into a skip, but some items are prohibited or require specialist handling.
Unless agreed in advance in writing with an appropriately authorised Operator, standard skips and ordinary Man & Van must NOT contain:
- Asbestos
- Clinical or medical waste
- Hazardous chemicals, liquids, solvents, paints, oils, fuels and pesticides
- Explosives
- Radioactive or contaminated material
- Sharps
- Loose vapes, disposable vapes, e-cigarettes, heated tobacco, vape batteries or pods, unless separately declared
The following require a specialist Service and an additional charge. They MUST be declared and approved in advance — please do not include them without telling us first:
- Mattresses
- Upholstered seating containing POPs, sofas and armchairs
- WEEE
- Tyres
- Plasterboard
- Roofing felt
- Gas bottles and gas cylinders
- Fridges and freezers
- TVs and monitors
- Fluorescent tubes
- Batteries
- POPs-contaminated waste

For hazardous or specialist waste, we can arrange a manual assessment and collection through an appropriately authorised operator rather than using the standard instant-booking process.
Hazardous waste requires additional checks to ensure it is handled safely and in accordance with the relevant regulations. For this reason, hazardous waste collections cannot be booked through our standard instant-booking service.
Simply submit an enquiry with details of the waste, and our team will review your requirements and arrange a suitable collection with an appropriately authorised operator.
